Day 4 - Genesis 13-17 and Psalm 4 and Proverbs 4

Genesis 13  discusses Abram's return from Egypt and his separation from his nephew, Lot.

Genesis 14  covers the battle over the area of Sodom and Gomorrah, where Abram rescued his nephew lot.  Also, Melchizedek blesses Abram and Abram gives him a 10th.

Genesis 15 details God making a covenant with Abram that he will have many descendants and his descendants will inherit the land.  God alos reveals the upcoming slavery of his descendants.

In Genesis 16, Abram and Sarai decide to have descendants a different way, through and Egyptian slave, since Sarai was still barren, feeling that the Lord would bless that family line.

In Genesis 17, God changes the names of Abram and Sarai, establishes the covenant of circumcision, and lets Abraham know that he will have a son through Sarah whose name shall be Isaac.
