there is a gap here in JOHN

john 20:2-11

2 So she ran and went to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him.” 3 So Peter went out with the other disciple, and they were going toward the tomb. 4 Both of them were running together, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. 5 And stooping to look in, he saw the linen cloths lying there, but he did not go in. 6 Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb. He saw the linen cloths lying there, 7 and the face cloth, which had been on Jesus'[a] head, not lying with the linen cloths but folded up in a place by itself. 8 Then the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed; 9 for as yet they did not understand the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead. 10 Then the disciples went back to their homes.11 But Mary stood weeping outside the tomb, and as she wept she stooped to look into the tomb.

Appearance of the angel

One or Two angels appeared like lightening, dressed in white (white as snow, dazzling apparel) sitting where the body was lain, one at head and one at feet, or near them, or sat on the stone

  • Mark 16:5 - And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were alarmed.
  • Luke 24:4-5 - 4 While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. 5 And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground,
  • john 20:12 - 12 And she saw two angels in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had lain, one at the head and one at the feet.

Angel Explained the situation

The angel appeared like lightening, dressed in white (white as snow, dazzling apparel
  • Matthew 28:3-4 5 But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he[a] lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you.”
  • Mark 16:6-7 - 6 And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him. 7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.”
  • Luke 24:4-5 - 6 And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him. 7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.”
  • John 20:13 13 They said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him.”

From tombe to galilee Jesus met them, they took hold of his feet and worshipped him, “Go to Galilee” At galilee mountain where jesus directed them, they saw him and worshipped him. , 11 discples Question: what is the end of the age. He said teach the to observe all the he commanded.. what is that? Is it this concept of love

2

Matthew 27 When morning came, jews took counsel aains jesus, bound him and led him to pilate At the feast the governor tried to release him or barrabas. His wife sent word to him to have nothing to do with him. A riot was breaking out, so He released barabbus, and scourged and handed over jesus Soldiers clothed him in purple, mocked him , put on crown of thorns, Went out had simon carry his cross. Came to Golgotha, gave him wine and gall to drink. He tasted it and would not drink it. Divided his garmets, . sign over his head, king of jews. Two robbers w/ him. People mocked him. 6th – 9th hour, 3 hours of darkness. Jesus cried out. Then cried out agai and gave up his spsirit Temple curtain torn, earth shook, rocks split, tombs opened, bodies of saits raised appearing to many. When evening, Joseph of arimethia got the body from pilate and put it in a tomb. The next day, after the day of preparation, the jews wanted the tomb sealed. They remembered he said he was to rise. Question why did they think ehe called Elijah. All he said was my god my god , why have you forsaken me. This is the beginning of Psalm 22, a psalm of David. When did jesus specifically tell them he was going to rise on the 3rd day. Or did the figure it out by the parables. Even the disciples didn’t remember that. What is the day of preparation. It said the next day and then had to explain after the day of preparation. Does that mean that actually two sabbaths had passed? (sabaton)

3

Matt 26 “after two days the Passover is coming” and told them he will be crucified. Jesus at behtany in house of simaon the leper, feet anointing. He said she did it to prepare him for burial Judas sought to betray him On the first day of unleavened bread: where do you want us to prepare the Passover In evening, they had the lords supper in that place Went out to the mount of olives Then to gethsemane jesus and peter and james, and ohn went a little further to pray. And then jesus went a little further to pray 3 times while the 3 disciples with him slept Judas came with a mob to arrest him Peter cut off the ear of one of the solders and jesus healed it. DO YOU THINK I CANNOT APPEAL TO MY FATHER AND HE WILL AT ONCE SEND ME MORE THAN TWELVE LEGIONS O ANGELS? They led him to caiphes w/ scribes/elders. Perer following at a distance. As far as the courtyard of the high priese. Question: the men who came to get jesus didn’t know jesus. He had to kiss him as a sign that he was the one to take.
